Things I need to do today:
Breath in
Breath out
When you act from fear,
you will have to
return to your choice point
and choose once again,
this time from Love.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” ~Marianne Williamson

In memory of Debbie Ehrler 1953-2005
Dolphin Joy As a dolphin approached me, I immediately sensed its mood of playfulness and joy.. Each time one of the magnificent creatures swam to me, I eagerly caressed its smooth and rubbery skin and wrapped my arms around it.
As one of our trainers instructed us, the other pointed to two beautiful shiny dolphins and soon they began to swim under and around each of us. Although a few of the members of our group were timid and afraid of the dolphins, my husband and I were not. We had petted and fed some dolphins a few years earlier at a another water park and felt comfortable with these new friends.
The dolphins responded to me in the same way a friendly dog might respond to being petted. The dolphins turned their bodies sideways towards me, and they seemed to enjoy being rubbed. As they came close, I gently traced the circumference of their blowholes with my fingers, and a few times I carefully stroked their flippers and touched their tails.
As the dolphins continued to swim among us, it felt as if they were weaving a magic spell. I was amazed to feel my heart begin to open. As layers of emotional pain from the past seemed to float out into the water, away from me, I knew the dolphins were helping me to heal. The release felt so good. It was as if they were showing me how easy it is to let go of pain and to embrace the spirit of joy.
As if to symbolize the washing away of my pain, it began to rain. It was a cold downpour that pelted our little group, blinding us and causing us to drift helplessly about. It was a miserable feeling and at first I was dismayed that our excursion was turning out this way. We had so much wanted to have this adventure and now, after all of our planning, I was wondering if our fun would be cut short.
But then, turning my face up to the rain, I began to laugh. I laughed at the sheer cosmic humor of our situation. It occurred to me that I was being taught a valuable lesson about relinquishing control. As much as I wanted everything to go perfectly, I realized sometimes what I want is not necessarily the best thing for me.
Once I began to accept things the way they were, I began to enjoy the excitement of the pelting rain. Like a baptism, it felt as if the rain were washing away all my thoughts and attitudes that no longer served my highest good. I could sense that from now on, I would be living more from my heart center and a place of utter joy. These exerpts are from the book "Harmony and Me" by Cindy Lowy Fess.
When I recall my favorite things,
I forget my troubles,
and then my heart sings.
Dear God, you are the originator of joy and bliss.. Please keep reminding me that the cultivation of joy is extremely important for happiness, health and peace of mind. Kindlyteach me to live in a state of joyfullness. So be it Amen.
